Frequently Asked Questions
1. What happens during a consultation? Before your first session, you’ll complete a detailed health questionnaire and food diary, so I can fully understand your health history and goals. During the first consultation, we’ll explore your symptoms, diet, lifestyle and if relevant, any test results (please note that the Premium Signature programme includes one dedicated session to functional test results interpretation). Next, you’ll receive a Personalised Nutrition & Lifestyle plan with practical, personalised recommendations — including tailored meal ideas or recipes — that feel realistic and manageable for you. Our follow up sessions and progress check-in are designed to review progress, address barriers and support you achieving your goals. Your Personalised Nutrition & Lifestyle Plan will be reviewed and amended as needed during each follow-up sessions, to ensure it serves you and your goals.
2. Are consultations online or in person? My clinic is based in Teddington, in the Richmond-Upon-Thames Borough in the UK, but all consultations take place online via secure video calls. This means I can work with clients wherever they’re located, and you can attend sessions comfortably from your own home. If you are based near me, it may be possible to arrange an in-person consultation at your home. Please let me know if that's something you would like to explore.
3. Will I have to follow a very strict diet? Not at all. My approach is "nourishment over punishment". I don’t believe in fear-based or overly restrictive eating. Instead, I help you build a way of eating that works for your lifestyle, preferences and family — while ensuring your nutritional needs and goals are met. I focus on what delicious, nourishing foods can be added to your diet rather than on what should be taken away.

4. What if I’m not a confident cook? That’s absolutely fine. Many of my clients aren’t! I provide simple, practical recipe ideas — such as easy traybakes, smoothies and quick meal options — so healthy eating feels achievable rather than overwhelming. I can also give you suggestions on how to tweak recipes so they are suitable for the whole family - because let's be honest, who has time or energy to prepare separate meals?
5. How quickly will I see results? This varies from person to person, but many clients notice improvements — particularly with digestion and energy — within the first few weeks. I often use the car analogy to describe the relationship between me and my clients. We are in a car together: I hold the map and will suggest the best route to take, but you are the one in the driving seat. You decide where you are going and at what speed. Your commitment and dedication is ultimately what makes the difference and that will get you to your desired destination. Sustainable, lasting change takes time, but don't worry - I’ll be your journey companion, there to support you every step of the way!
6. Do you provide functional testing? Where appropriate, functional testing can be recommended, but it’s never compulsory. We’ll always discuss whether testing would genuinely add value to your case before proceeding. The Premium Advanced Programme includes a session dedicated to test interpretation (the test itself is charged separately). Please note that if you are based outside the UK, some functional tests might not be available to you.
7. How long will I need to work with you? Some clients come for a short period to address a specific issue, while others choose longer-term support to build sustainable habits. If you are unsure what programme would best suit your needs, book a free Intro Chat and we can explore together what feels right for you.
8. Do you only work with women/mums? No. While I specialise in women's health, and the majority of my clients happen to be mums, my programmes are open to anyone who would benefit from them (whether they have kids or not!). Often my clients want their whole family to be healthy, not just themselves, so they refer their male partners to work with me. I really enjoy supporting men on their wellbeing journey - get in touch if this is something you are interested in.
